"We've seen a reduction of 73.6% plastic and CO2 reductions which equates to 21 tonnes per annum."

Peter Newby, Distribution Site Manager at Carpetright

I’m Pete Newby, Distribution Site Manager for Carpetright. And we are the UK’s leading flooring retailer.

I’m Daniel Burt. I’m Operations Manager for Carpetright.

We were looking for a company who could offer full stability testing as opposed to just coming and offering us a cheaper product. The analysis they came and carried out, they were here doing the testing which was proven with the analysis that they provided; that the load stability film that they provide was best in class.

We were originally using a 30 micron plastic from another supplier but we switched to Castle’s 15 micron plastic which saved 52% on costs which equates to around £19,000.

We’ve seen a reduction of 73.6% plastic and CO2 reductions which equates to 21 tonnes per annum.

When Castle came to site they highlighted some issues with our existing pallet wrapping machines, so we’ve also purchased two new pallet wrapping machines from Castle to increase load stability.

With our existing pallet wrapping machine and when Castle Industrial highlighted some inefficiencies, on the back of that is the reasons why we have purchased two pallet wrapping machines for our Florence Supplies which is another part of our division.

The reason why I would recommend Castle Industrial is down to product and testing, CO2 reduction and price.

The three reasons I would recommend Castle are the price, the support and testing and the CO2 reductions.
